According to the Virgin Islands Police Department, emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 12:50 p.m. after a 911 call reported a non-responsive male in the area of Flamboyant, Estate Mahogany, Christiansted. Officers and Emergency Medical Technicians arrived at the scene and confirmed that the individual showed no signs of life. Family members later identified the deceased as Michael Springer, age 50.
At this time, authorities have stated that the cause of death has not yet been determined and remains pending further findings from the Office of the Medical Examiner. The VIPD has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that no foul play is suspected.
