In Loving Memory of Abigail “Abbey” Small

Beloved Wife • Devoted Mother • Dedicated 911 Dispatcher • Forever in Our Hearts

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Abigail Small, who left us peacefully in the early hours of Sunday morning after a courageous year-long battle with illness.

Abigail, known affectionately as Abbey, was a cherished 911 dispatcher for Knox County, where her calm voice and quick thinking provided comfort and lifesaving guidance to countless callers in their moments of crisis. Her commitment to serving her community was matched only by her deep love for her family.

She was the loving wife of Peru Police Officer Kyle Small and the proud mother of two beautiful little girls, who were the light of her life. Abbey poured endless love into her daughters and her husband, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unbreakable bonds.

Though her time with us was far too short, Abbey’s impact was immense. She touched the lives of her family, her colleagues in the 911 and law enforcement communities, and everyone fortunate enough to know her spirit, strength, and kindness.

To Kyle, her precious girls, her extended family, and the entire Knox County 911 family: we share in your unimaginable grief and hold you close in our thoughts and prayers. Abbey will forever remain a part of the blue line family, and her legacy of love and service will endure.

Rest in peace, Abbey. You fought bravely, loved fiercely, and will be missed beyond words.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
RIP Abigail Small
